The Astronaut Diet gets its name from the diet prescribed to pilots to lose weight fast. It's a very low calories diet (400-500 calories); it is recommended to take vitamin and mineral pills as a complement.

Lunch:

Dinner:
1 slice of meat (grilled or roasted, without fat) or 1 grilled steak. In both cases, with salad.

Disadvantages of The Astronaut Diet:
Drink a lot of water, 8-ounce glasses of water per day (2 quarts, 1.8 liters) to avoid dehydration, because the weight (principally water) is eliminated through the urine. Without a balanced diet after the Astronaut Diet, weight lost is gained soon. It's the disadvantage of these fast diets, after them,you have always to eat with moderation.
